How should we rescue the polar bears?

This afternoon we really had to put our thinking caps on to decide how we were going to rescue the polar bears safely.

We shared our ideas when we passed around the 'microphone' and thought about what others had said. Sometimes we thought ideas were brilliant, other times we were worried that they wouldn't work.

We decided we would have to be very safe near these wild animals, because the adult would be very hungry and would also want to protect the baby. It might be necessary to put the bears to sleep.

We had to remember how big the adult bear could be, so that we had the right equipment to rescue it.

We decided that we would have to go by boat to have a good look at the bears, to see what we will need to help get them to safety. Photographs will be necessary! We will share them very soon.
