Ship builders!

After cooking we all became ship builders. We had to use our measuring skills to make scale models of HMS Beagle. It was really hard! 

We learned that it was better to measure together. 

We learned to listen carefully to instructions and start at the bottom. We also has to remember to get the depth right as well as the length.

We then had to get the scale of the masts right. It was really challenging and only a few got to the end, but we learned loads in the process! 

Junk modelling!

This morning we have been junk modelling in music and making some fantastic musical instruments! George loved doing this and said he was going to show all his family how to do it! 

 

Perfect puppets!

We have been sewing very carefully in Class 2 and our puppets are looking fabulous! Here are some of them. They will be on display very soon, when they have all had the finishing touches added to them. 

Fire engine research!

The DaRTs team were out and about yesterday to check all the equipment on the large fire trucks. Fire fighters Clive and Mark brought the fire truck round so that we could inspect what was there.

Now that we have completed our thorough research, we need to make sure that our small fire trucks have the equipment they need. So it's back to our designs we go!
