Reading on the iPad

We used the ipads this afternoon to read some of Collins Big Cat books. You can listen to a story, read a story or create your own. We had to investigate the apps without any help and learn to use them on our own or with a friend.

Give the dog a bone!

Today we played Give the Dog a Bone to show how we can find numbers on a 100 square.  

There were lots of different strategies being used and if anyone got it wrong, they had to think about what they know to find the right number.

View finding!

This afternoon we have been looking for views around the school grounds, using a view finder. 

We talked about the different surfaces and textures.

We are going to create some art work from the views that we have found.

The trim trail!

We had 20 minutes on the trim trail this afternoon because we worked so hard and made Miss BB feel all warm and fuzzy!

Scavenger hunt

This morning we have been in a scavenger hunt to find things around the classroom. Some of us worked in pairs, some on our own. We wrote our own questions for other children to find things. We found lots of things, then challenged others to find some different things that we had found ourselves.
