P.E.A.C.E

Peace have been contacted by email (and by a phone message we realised later) about some stranded polar bears. Could we help them?

We decided we could. We needed to get packing as the bears were in Alaska!

More amazing homework!

The display is starting to go up with all the amazing work from this half term. I will let you know a good day to come in and look at it - there are some brilliant written projects that are not as easy to photograph as the models. Well done to the children of class 2 for working so well with their families to produce such brilliant work! We have enjoyed the bakery buns immensely - what a treat they have been!

Bakery buns

This afternoon we made bakery buns and pottage! They tasted delicious! Lots of us really liked the pottage, but we all loved the bakery buns. We used our weighing and measuring skills to get the recipe right.

More incredible learning at home!

An amazing picture!

Some amazing facts about Tudor houses!

An incredible project about the Great Fire of London and another fantastic model of St Paul's Cathedral.

Weights and measures

This morning we have been investigating weights and measures in class.

We have looked for weights on packets and then put them in order of size.

We have been finding out how much some things in class weigh.

We have played some fun games to learn about how much things might weigh.

Amazing homework!

Look at our amazing learning at home! We are blowing Miss BB's socks off!

The bakery fire

The new St Paul's cathedral

A Tudor house. Could this be Thomas Farynor's bakery?

Samuel Pepys

We created some brilliant comic pages about Samuel Pepys! George and Owen showed Miss Yates their fabulous work.

Read all about it!

Look at our display in the corridor of our newspaper reports about the Great Fire of London.

We imagined that we were reporters who lived in 1666.

Miss BB thought they were brilliant! Harry, Phoebe, Aidan and George showed their super writing to Miss Yates!

Comic life

This afternoon we have used Comic Life to create posters showing what we know about Samuel Pepys. We showed how good we were at persevering and using our initiative.

Lauren thought it was good because she found a picture of the cheese, but she couldn't save it at first. She persevered and saved it in the end!

Hope got the title wrong, but kept trying and suddenly got it right! Isla learned how to resize the pictures.

Owen thought that it was good making a comic. The hardest bit was getting the pictures. Luke learned how to add text to different parts and Harry learned how to use speech bubbles.

You will have seen our thinking faces all afternoon!

What can we learn about Samuel Pepys?

Sorry! This is an older post that I forgot to publish!

This afternoon we have been finding out about Samuel Pepys. We used the learning pages in the class blog to help us find out lots of information about him.

Learning through games on the BBC
